Hello!
Okay, the CVS for OWFS from 7/20/2007 works well enough on a 2.6.18
kernel, as installed, not custom. Also the FUSE version 2.6.1 does
work here. The release tells me that it needs a 2.6 type kernel so its
module is disabled. (Query, why?)

What I've done is select a pair of DS2406 devices, attach them in a
chain, one device then the other on the OW endpoint, a DS2490 as
described previously. Activating them is still an interesting series
of events as I've got the gates from a SN7437 wired to them and the
LED output elements. The outputs are wired to a driver pair normally
used for S/370 I/O, in this case its two of the multiple inputs, and
two of them are grounded. Its output is sent to a module that does
have IBM markings on it. And was obtained legally. The output from the
module goes to a receiver who's going to a third gate on the same
SN7437. I now have an RS-232 I/O device a DS275 wired to that. And to
one of the gates.

Paul, everyone this is only for discussions on this list, (and
probably Google) which is why there won't be a web page on it. It's
still very experimental. (It resembles the on on my One-Wire projects
pages, that's all.)

The serial port thus created is wired to a laptop running Windows95
who's currently running a graphic test and measurement environment and
is monitoring the laptop.

Now the crazy issue, can anyone explain how to have the modules that
are included in this kernel properly blacklisted so that the one-wire
modules provided by it are not loaded? I confess this is one area
that's got me lost.
