I had the jumper removed. So somehow the power coming from USB and through the 
USB to 1W converter is not adequate on my NSLU2. The Temp board is working fine 
and really draws very little current so hard to understand what is happenning. 
Might be something wrong in the USB/1W converter. When I connected the board 
(parasitic) it not only did not show up but it also removed the USB/1W  81.xxxx 
entry in the directory. Meaning it was actually loading down the interface I 
suppose. I will have to look at it again but it has worked fine now for 24 
hours on external power.
