thanks for the reply! As said, if you need any debug-logs, please let me know.. 
The issue with reconnecting a "broken bus" isn't easy reproducible but 
possible, I just guess it makes no sense without knowing what to look for..

BTW: I guess the "request hangs forever" problem is the same thing I 
encountered a while ago with perl/ownet. But with using many different versions 
on client and server side, mixed up, this wasn't very clear...
Did some further tests today, this (using OWNet.pm) also happens on 2.7p21, 
I'll have a deeper look tomorrow on this again. Worst case, adding an alarm(x) 
on reaads to ensure some timeout for requests in OWNet.pm should be IMHO better 
than doing this on any reqeust in the client..
