Hello, Thank you. I read and I understand but this make me wondering why DS2438 is only seen as a temp & humidty sensor? This sensor always act as temp sensor but for the second possibility it can do what ever ibuttons or other dealers or manufacturers, wants.
I understand that VAD an VDD are the info to read but when a software as xpl-perl is used, it reads what owfs give to it and so, in my case, report humidty even if it's light level sensor. I thought that I'm not the only one who use this kind of multi sensor and other people could be surprised by this. I thought it'll be better if in the futur owfs could make the difference beetween multi-sensor names, so "reading software" can get and send the real type/name of the sensor. I'm not a developer, I try to read the code in module/owlib/src/c/ow_2438.c, this make me understand that it this file has to be rewriten to take care of each multi-sensor possibility and so need time to do it. If I can help I'll do it. Neverthelessthe job you make until now is realy great.
