Hi Guys,

Is anyone currently maintaining OWFS Packages for the Linksys NSLU2? I have
one running "Unslung V2.3R63-uNSLUng-6.10-beta" with OWFS 2.7p38 but would
like to upgrade it to a more recent version.

I'm not really fussed as to which OS the NSLU2 runs as long as it is stable.
I have Unslung running now but OpenWRT looks to have a smaller base install
foot print, but I already want to use a 4G FLASH USB Stick anyway file
system size is not much of a consideration, as long as it fits and works.

Last year during the southern hemisphere winter I used OWFS (2.8p2) and
temploggerd (1.3.8) on a small Debian Linux PC (Linux 2.6.26-2-486) to
monitor my temperature sensor networks and control my heating system
manifold pumps and valves from a Solid State Relay driven from the I/O pins
on some of my DS28EA00 sensors. The control logic was written in Python. All
this worked quite well so now I'd like to run it on a diskless NSLU2 as the
Linux box is getting old.

I got as far as getting: Unslung V2.3R63-uNSLUng-6.10-beta installed that
also mounts a FLASH USB Stick for extra storage capacity. I installed OWFS
2.7p38 and that seemed to work ok for my Link-USB adaptors and the DS28EA00
sensors. I was hoping to put the RRD database in the 4G Flash file system
and hopefully figure out how to configure RRD to make its databases larger
so I can store more detailed data for longer.

Regards

Alex Shepherd
