This is pretty clear, as there *are* differences to the DS2482, the most important here: I digged through the stuff getting the first to work, just some notes/hints: - - In the configuration-register, bit 1 is now: 1-Wire Power Down (PDN) Means, with current default of PresencePulseMasking=1 and the DS2483 getting detected as DS2482-100 (this bit was PPM on the DS2482-x00) 1-Wire might just be powered down on the DS2483 PPM was also purged by Maxim from the DS2482 DS "rev 8 2011/09 Corrected the recommendation for using active pullup (APU); removed the references to presence-pulse masking." So I guess this PPM is obsolted by maxim(?) anyway.. - - Status register is unchanged - - There's a new one: "4) Adjust 1-Wire Port" which affects "Port Configuration Register" (B4h) Michael -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk/fdfwACgkQaWRHV2kMuAKR6ACfYR3HGYx1iZi/oVuKPX370c1L tIUAn1C+y3aeO1x+3HB8lRwd/z1laYas =a2C/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
