Great news!
Was it the CRC check in OW_r_data that was the problem?

Subject: Re: [Owfs-developers] problem writing to ds2502

Found the error -- using CRC16 rather than CRC8. Writing fix and will include
in next version. Thanks for finding this error!

Thanks for the quick response.
Yes, I have 12V for eprom writing.
And I can write to a ds2406 so I think that part works.
And yes, I have a bus master, can't recall the name now but it is the same as
in the serial and USB devices that is quite common.

I don't recall if the writing has been tested recently. As a first pass, do you
have a bus master that can generate the 12V needed for EEPROM programming? They
aren't common.

See http://datasheets.maximintegrated.com/en/ds/DS2502.pdf page 2.

Hi
First: thanks for a great program/library/whatever :-)
Second: my question
I cannot write to the eprom on a ds2502 using owfs (owhttpd). It works writing
to the eprom in a ds2406. I cannot find any reference to the eprom status bytes
in the code, is the ds2502 fully supported? anyone else that have had any luck
writing to a ds2502?
(just modifying ow_2502.c so it looks more like ow_2505.c with reading/writing
to status does not seem to be enough)

Kind regards
