I have some in saltwater for about 4y now without failure.
But to be able to give any meaningful answer: it is very important to
know the salinity and temperature of the water you measure - it's a big
diffenrence for so called "stainless steel" (or however its called like
V4A, ..) i.e wether the saltwater has 10 or 28°C!

But one thing ahead: copper gets eated by saltwater due to electrolysis
if the material in between is conducting - very quickly!

Define your needs, maybe a solution is near but not with materials you
find on land ;)
