Thank you for the reply.
As you have said I was hoping to set it up so that everything talks to the 
owserver but I am unsure how to go about this.
My machines ip address is 192.168.1.101 and everything pertaining to 1-wire, 
such as scripts will be running on it.
My owfs.config is:-

! server: server = localhost:4304
server: device = /dev/ttySNX0
mountpoint = /mnt/1wire
allow_other
http: port = 2121
ftp: port = 2120
server: port = localhost:4304

As far as I can see, this should be configured correctly to do this.
