I thought I would try owfs again but there are still libusb problems trying to configure owfs 3.1p0. Strangely there are no problems configuring owfs_3.0p2. Why? I am running Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS, with libusb-1.0-0-dev
I am getting the following when trying to configure:- checking if usb support is enabled... auto (default) ./configure: line 16305: syntax error near unexpected token `LIBUSB,' ./configure: line 16305: ` PKG_CHECK_MODULES(LIBUSB, libusb-1.0 >= 0.9.1, ENABLE_USB=true,ENABLE_USB=false)' I have tried everything I know, searched the web, forums but nothing works. No suggestions work. However, something I did come across was to determine whether pkgconfig was installed. It actually wasn't and I thought I had found the problem... but no. Still the same error messages. I have compared the configure files but the coding between the two is completely different. I require 3.1 as I believe this is the version that supports the new Hobbyboards barometer.
