Hi, What I am describing is a platform to build building automation systems from. How a given implementation is done is up to the developers and the implementers. Right now, what is most important is to get the fundamental architecture right so different people can build different things in different languages and allow them to interoperate. If that works well, we could hope for a community of people building pieces that could be fit together, but that's just a hope right now.
