When you have the opportunity, can you please try with latest version, 
and run owserver with:

owserver --debug --traffic

Then issue the owwrite, and then grab all the debug output, and put that 
in some pastebin. This greatly helps with debugging.

Indeed, a lot has changed in alot of areas. Generally this list asks 
anyone who has issues to try the latest version first, as lots have been 
fixed (but also potentially introduced, as evident by this thread).

Can also be browsed online at 
https://sourceforge.net/p/owfs/code/ci/master/tree/, but it *is* quite a 
large project, not very easy to just dive in and find a bug.. Even 
though I encourage anyone to try :)
