Moreover, while it would be possible to let KDE e.V. handle the ownCloud money in a separate, dedicated way (money donated to ownCloud is only for ownCloud) it would be a bad idea. Because ownCloud would most likely not be able to collect as much money as they currently get by being part of KDE e.V. - which has big, corporate sponsors (like mine) who donate a lot.
