Good question. The whole Internet is the cloud, technically but I think it specifically (for me anyway) is services that run on a network of servers. ie clustering, etc. I'm assuming when you put your stuff up on Azure your application is not just hosted on a single machine, it starts up instances as needed. As for the quiet list, its probably because people are busy working. Also, I did wonder if a special interest list like this can be justified?
