Morning,

Heard from another user that they re-activated it with the same serial and it worked. Strange, tried doing this?

Cheers,

Thanks David, I’ll give it a shot and see what happens, the notes mention it won’t work on Vista, that’s no surprise nothing works on Vista… but hopefully I might be able to get it to run OK on 7.

While not directly answering your question, there is a product I used to use which hosted multiple versions of IE in a single browser (i.e. you could make a new 'tab' of any version of IE you want). I can't recall the name but a quick Google turns up this: http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE which is similar and should do the job for you...

Good luck with making something work well in modern bowsers AND ie6. :(

Morning guys,

Kind of off topic… unfortunately for us a lot of our clients are large government agencies stuck in the 90s (well August 2001 anyway) and still use IE6 so we have to make sure our app is compatible.

Microsoft have a bunch of compatibility VPC images that we have been using, which is just a VPC image with XP and IE6 installed that runs until a fixed date and then you have to download a new image to get you through the next 3 months. Their current images expired 1st October 2010 and up until now they have been pretty quick to upload the new images (literally on the day they expire) except for this time round.

Does anybody know if they are ceasing support of these images? Or if there is a new link to download them from perhaps? Or am I just being impatient?

Cheers,

Anton
