Ever since I started using Windows 7 last Xmas as my primary development OS, I've been quite happy except for an unexpected and incomprehensible problem with Internet Explorer 8. It's possibly security settings related, but I'm not sure.
Some web sites I randomly cannot log in (sign in) to. Typical examples are Facebook and the ComponentOne forums. Facebook continuously returns to the Login page, and the C1 site just redraws and nothing happens. On rare random occasions the logins have worked, but for the last couple of months they are continuously inaccessible. I have moved heaven and earth and searched the web and tried every trick I can possibly think of to get around the problems, cleared cookies and history and adjusted security settings and used trusted sites, etc etc etc, but absolutely nothing will get me into these web sites under Win7 and IE8. I have to walk over to my Win3K file server with IE7 and access these sites, without any problems at all. I'm at wits end, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has been through this. Cheers, Greg
