Hi David
No Aero issue as I am on Windows XP I move the drive between my work and home computers, and it happens on both - so I suspect it isn't the computer itself I am starting to think it must be something faulty about the hard drive. I just tried clearing the paging file at shut down, but it hasn't helped Kirsten _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Connors Sent: Thursday, 18 November 2010 8:02 AM To: ozDotNet Subject: Re: [OT] System Idle Process Running at 98% and I cant use my PC The last time that happened to me systematically it ended up being a bunch of deferred procedure calls because caused by the GPU in turn being caused by it overheating because the heat exchanger on the fan for the GPU was clogged with dust. Turn Aero off for a day and see if the problem goes away.
