I have been struggling with getting a modest amount of data from an Access
MDB into a DataGridView quickly. (WinForms)

With a bound DGV the loading and formatting of the DGV takes 60+ seconds.
With a virtual mode DGV with the MSDN caching example (just9in-time"), I can
get it working perfectly with the same data (in SQLServer Express 2008, MDF
format, SQLExpress data connection) - but with OleDb (Jet.OLEDB.4.0) the
caching example just don't work.

A couple of forum posts I have seen suggest that it is the fault of the
OleDB.

Is this a "known problem"?

I have 30,000 records with a lot of fields, 16Mb as Access MDB / 31Mb as SQL
Server MDF (ie, not large). Loading this data in MS Access 2003 into an
unfiltered table grid is super-quick.
