Yes, I just took the PFX file over to the spare machine and right-clicked,
then it says Import PFX.

 

Then it wouldn't show up in the VS2010 'Select from Store...' list and
restarting VS2010 made no difference. Then I rebooted the VM and now the
cert is listed in the popup. I can see it via certmgr.msc.

 

Now I can't remember how I made the PFX years ago, but luckily it contains
the key pair and I remembered the password (phew!).

 

I just noticed that the cert expires in 3 months and the Thawte web site
says a renewal is $US495 for two years. Blow that. I received my current one
for free as part of a deal and it costs too much to renew, especially since
I don't *really* need it. It was just great to have for learning how the
whole thing works and the thrill seeing my name in a signed release.
