Yep, I guess you are right the e-mail.microsoft.com one is ok. As you said, the links in the body of the email are more of a worry. Clicked on them more to verify where they took me rather than wanting to take them up on the offers. I just checked and Microsoft is listed as the registrar for microsoftemail.com.
Seems weird, but I guess its common for companies to own multiple domain names to help split out usage etc. Pick a less suspicious ones guys! Whats wrong with microsoft.com? Oh right, that's taken.
