I found a workaround for the dead Blazor app problem. If I create the project under C:\temp it will compile and run. Then I move the whole folder over to my existing solution and add it, and it runs okay.
So creating the new Blazor app inside my existing solution creates a dud. It gets me going, but it leaves a rotten mystery which might be peculiar to my solution or environment and I don't have the stamina to solve it. *GK* >
