To Shirley (and the midwifery list members),
By saying that (paraphrased) we should not make one religion better than
another, is only one world view. You of course may have that view.
Others, such as me, however should be allowed to have their own view.
Being midwives has in reality NOTHING to do with how we view GOD or
religion. We should still be able to let everybody make their own
choices in life, being there for the women and their families.
However I do resent that the new age view which is heavily promoted
lately is the best way of viewing religion or GOD. Therefore I must
protest, because I KNOW that a life with Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY to
GOD and I make NO EXCUSES about it.
He said: "I am THE WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE, NOBODY comes to the
FATHER BUT BY ME". I didn't say these words, but He did. If you are
offended by that, complain to HIM. That YOU don't believe that is ok
with me. My salvation is secure. My only hope is that people will
understand this before it is too late. We ALL come short of God's
intentions for us. It doesn't matter how hard we try to be good.
Therefore HE came, so we could rest of our efforts and give eveything
over to Him.
This will be the first AND the last time I'll write about this, for I do
believe that the midwifery page is not the right place to discuss
anything else but midwifery.
My reply however was necessary for I felt that too much empasis was put
on the new age world view on this MIDWIFERY page.
Anyone who will answer this may send it to me directly, to unburden the
mid list.
