What `tricks of the trade' do you all have for encouraging onset of labour
or getting spurious labour to establish when a client is post term 10 - 14
days?
We have of late, lost a lot of our Birthing Centre clients for this reason.
The O&G staff won't let us wait any longer than 14 days post dates before
insisting on IOL in the delivery suite.
Clients have have found nipple stimulation, sex and massage of accupressure
points gives them spurious contractions but fail to establish and then end
up being induced anyway.
Any ideas?
Are there any articles in this area?
I would love to here your thoughts.
