Dear Mandy

Your information and stats are great. But I must say that women really enjoy a story of their journey, they rarely if ever become involved in writing part of their own story on a Partograph. The original intention of partographs was good, in this country in reality it is a tool often used at a glance, not much in depth documentation is done when a partograph/gram is in vogue.  With the design one often needs bifocals to read it.  I have been involved in Legal Reports from some years now and I find the partograph does not provide me with adequate information when I am trying to evaluate the particular legal question in relation to midwifery care.

The real value of the discussions on this List (thanks Andrea) is that we can all place in writing our experiences, values, beliefs and still no one single person is right.  This is what sharing knowledge and learning is all about.
