Dear Lyn I think you mean working in obstetrics?? I do not know any midwife who would suggest a pelvimetry, especially on a woman who has birth vaginally! How sad or is it diabolical that such is happening with out an outcry and that women are submitting themselves to such groundless subversion?? I was of the understanding that pelvimetry was of limited clinical use because of the amazing capacity the pelvis and the foetal head have for accommodating the birth process. I am interested to find out if this is something occurring more commonly now, or if we just happen to have a creative obstetrician in our area. I'd also like to know how the cost is justified.
