In reply to your enquiry. A neighbour of mine had the same problem. She had
joint consultation between the medical consultant & an obstetrician, with no
problems to her or the baby. Her thyroxine levels were monitored on a
regular basis. She had a thyroidectomy, but I'm not sure if this was at the
beginning of the pregnancy or prior to the pregnancy.
She had a planned caesarean birth. I have no idea the reason for the planned
caesarean. However she does have a very healthy intelligent young girl who
is now about 8 years of age.
