transverse lie

Hi, I am asking this for a friend, she is small in stature and has been told that she has a large baby.  She is due in 4 weeks and the baby is in a transverse lie (perhaps because she is small and has run out of room!)   The ob has told her to stay home - no shopping, no walking, no anything until she goes into labour and then to go straight to the hospital. She is not happy!   Can anyone give any advice on ways she might help the baby to turn back if it can??   Regards Rhonda.
