Hi everyone!

In Andrea Robertson's book on teaching active birth, Empowering Women (ACE Graphics, 1994) she states that "Professional Indemnity Insurance is not considered necessary for childbirth educators, since educators are not treating clients, diagnosing problems, giving advice or prescribing."

I am wondering whether private childbirth educators generally have P.I. Insurance,  or whether the views in the above book are still widely accepted.

Thanks,

Christina
