This would achieve the same as a move I used successfully last week. The woman told me that she had an anterior lip that was holding the baby up and this lasted for more than an hour. They were both OK and we were all being patient. After this time she began getting frustrated with the delay and adopted a position where she was kneeling on all fours with her bum in the air and her head on the floor. gravity lifted the baby off the offending lip and half way through the next contraction the baby's head appeared on view and was born with the next contraction.
