Hi All, I have a friend (Shazza) who SROM @ 31 weeks with her first babe & @ 34 weeks with her second babe. Both pregnancies were treated with profalatic AB's but both were born prem and had a little stay in the NIC ( both well and now thriving big boys)....anyway...Shazza is pregnant again and has asked me what would cause recurrent premature ROM, if it will happen again this time and wether going on continuous oral AB's around mid 2nd trimester could prevent it happening again. I've read a bit about premature SROM but cant find anything on recurrent episodes of the same. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction to get some evidenced based research for Shazza?
