I had a quick look at the abstracts and it seems
as though these researchers have looked retrospectively at various risk
factors from smoking, ethnicity, lifestyle to infections and parity
amongst others and have found an
association with smoking and parity and history of PPROM. Mostly it is
inconclusive and still being investigated. Anyway, you can find these by
searching for Pubmed and then searching their data base.

Thanks Deb, I've already looked there but unfortunatly
ECPC dosn't address the issue of "recurrent preterm prelabour SROM" in
subsequent pregnancies....This is where I'm having difficulty finding
info....Any other suggestions??

The latest edition of Effective Care in
Pregnancy and Childbirth has a chapter on prelabour ROM, and discusses
preterm ROM in some detail.
