very common in U.K
It's really not that common in the UK, although not unheard of. There was a TV show once where a well-known TV chef (can't remember who, but have a feeling it was Raymond Blanc, but my be wrong) showed how to cook it (very lightly with herbs and garlic). I certainly never had any clients who ate theirs - although I know of fellow CBE's who had. It is more common for women to bury it in their gardens. In France placental extracts are used in face creams and the like.
