A paediatric doctor friend told me after visiting Africa that the reason
most women with HIV?AIDS breast feed is that they don't want anyone to
know they have the disease and if they don't feed then it is assumed
they have the disease. Despite medical advice to the contrary they
continue to feed despite the risk of transmission to their baby.
