I got goosebumps reading your sentence "the most empowering and fulfilling experience occurred when I lifted my baby to my chest to greet her". Oh, I so much want to do that! I managed to 'hold' my third child immediately after birth for a few seconds, before they whisked him to a corner of the room to suction his little nostrils which made both my husband and me almost sick ourselves. How old was your daughter when you gave birth to your second child? My husband and I have been discussing letting our kids be at the next birth.
