I didn't become a midwife until after my fourth child was born and I knew that what was being inflicted on mothers and babies was very wrong and wanted a place to work that was free of this kind of interference.&nbsp; (no rooming in, 10 mins feeding each side then Top-up with formula, babies being formula fed in the nursery against mother's wishes etc.) Homebirth was very underground in the early 80's but I found a wonderful midwife mentor (Lidwin Jury) to support and guide me.&nbsp; MM</BLOCKQUOTE></BLOCKQUOTE></BODY></HTML>
