I know many women who are finding they are having to pay a higher gap with private insurance each baby they have.  If there is MORE increases to costs, coupled with the continued cost of insurance anyway, it will become too out priced and then they will be seeking alternatives...away from the private sector.    If the OBs out price themselves, then women may look to other mode of care.  It would be a great time to again bring to the attention of the media how wonderful it is to have "your own private midwife or small group of midwives without the costs" NMAP!
