This is really intersting to me as I am pregnant with the "bonus" fourth child. I have birthed three boys, all under my own steam, first in hospital with strangers, 2nd and 3rd at home with the same midwidfe, as I hope to do again. For me I see this as the last chance to personally explore what I can in childbirth, hence the discussion on hypnobirthing being of interest. All of the points raised are valid and my mind dances with the possibilities. I was never aware of my babies internal movements during labour and would love to, but I have had the freedom to behave as ever I need as I have been the one setting the game plan not a programme or method taught. Yeah it hurts, but what a special kind of pain it is. I am extremely proud of my achievements, it means something deep to me. I spent many hours reading, talking, listening to others who have birthed and I had the belief and support to make changes. So I have time ahead of me to explore further my choices for this bubby and I'll see where it leads me. I'm not sure I need hypnobirth to have a baby, but would absolutely need it to have my next tattoo.
