Hi all I've been away for a lovely 4 day break for our Melbourne cup weekend and returned to read your posts with great interest.
I think maybe many of you have misinterpreted what I am saying. I think it is absolutely great that many of you can embrace your pain and labours in the way you have if that is the want you want it to be. There are many out there though that are so lost about birthing it makes my heart break. I SEE them! They come to me clutching for help because they have no idea how their bodies work. They are scared, in fact many are terrified. If they are terrified, what are their babies thinking? We know that a baby's hearing is fully developed at 18 weeks gestation. What are they hearing? I can offer the mums that I see an understanding of how their bodies work. With hypnosis they do not go into a sleep state, quite the contrary they are far more alert with what their body is doing. They can focus, breathe well, be in tune with their body, relax, be powerful and know what is happening with their birthing. I see it and it's beautiful to observe. It is not for everybody and I don't judge those who don't want to do it nor do I judge other methods. It is all about choice and HypnoBirthing is ONE choice. All women and babies deserve to have the most wonderful birthing experience, whatever that means to them. My mission is to help them have what they choose to have. It really is THAT simple. We as a society have learned to complicate everything. I learnt a long time ago from someone very wise that we need to go back to basics. I like to think that, that is what I am teaching now. Trust in our bodies to birth, we were designed to do it and now it's time we believed that we CAN do it. warm regards Diane -- This mailing list is sponsored by ACE Graphics.
