Maureen, I assume you work at the Angliss?  It must have been hard to juggle frantic phone calls while you're trying to do clinic :o(

To fill everyone in, here's a transcript of what was on Stateline:

Is the problem what was being protested or what was reported?  It doesn't matter what is being protested if the press don't report it accurately.

Okay, I supported the rally on Thursday, but I have not enjoyed the
aftermath. Worked pm on Thursday and fielded many phone calls from clients
concerned that the birth centre was closing. Today I did clinic and
EVERYONE asked if the centre was closing. I didn't hear the news story, but
did catch Statewide. Could we please be a little more specific about what
we are protesting about and prevent women and their families worrying
themselves unnecessarily. Yes I have explained it all, and encouraged them
to write to MP's etc, but the calls have been numerous and I haven't really
got time in clinic to discuss it . Maureen
