Dear Claudia
i have seen pregnant women get huge amounts of drugs on presription in
hospitals here in Australia as the staff and the system put these women in
the too hard basket.

But I did/do wonder if the system was not fragmented and such women got
continuity of care (and the midwife looking after them got appropriate back
up) if the outcomes and actions of these women would improve..

Such cases do not happen in a vaccuum where is the examination of our
societal failures in the reports of the lives and actions of these sad
individuals???
