The topic/issue of what doctors and some midwives say
to women in the context of arrogance/disrespect/etc is something being
discusses in a few forums. I think
it is important for this concern to be addressed but short of taping all that
is said to a pregnant/labouring/new mother how do we prove that someone is in
the wrong? Women say the doc was
really rude and offensive and the doc says the women misheard/is over sensitive
and the doc is ‘let off’ and the woman feels degraded/abused or at
least dissatisfied. Giving women information is imperative but how and who
determines the most appropriate way to give this information? I don’t know the answer…just wanting to generate
discussion. Love to all Jo Bainbridge CARES SA Bloomin Good Birth --- |
