Have you run a 'full' update of your user profile database from the SSP?

Hi, we had a user with 2 AD accounts.  We deleted one of the accounts from AD.  
We went into the shares services and the accounts isn't in the user profiles, 
however when you go and use the people picker, both accounts still appear.   
Has anyone come across this before?
