I have had that before. And I go to check if the audience is still there, it's been removed. I've had to click apply then ok a few times then it works.

It does not appear to be working. Issues include: * Sites in list views are still visible - Site Map, Categories, Top Sites etc. * When creating a new site from the Site Actions menu, the Target Audiences field becomes mandatory (it's not) and does not include a picker control. Am I missing something? I wasn't sure what to expect but imagined that these sites would become invisible from lists and query web parts, and also be removed from the navigation controls.
