EVEN THOUGH the account is local administrator, has web policies for every web application in the farm - it was still failing. There is some other specific group, or security level that the new account (that works) has, over the one that I was using - god only knows what this is. Any thoughts? From memory (I haven't touched in it a few months now) there was 2 types of restore and migration. One was in place and one was out of place. ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Matthew Cosier Sent: Friday, 13 February 2009 9:18 AM To: [email protected] Subject: AvePoint DocAve - Migrations Hi All, Has anyone here used AvePoint DocAve 4.5 for migrating from 2003 -> 2007? I've installed the latest version of the client agent on a 64bit Win2k8 machine, configured it and tested the TCP connection between the server and the client - all good. When I enter the migration section of the server software, I can choose Migrate from backup, I can then choose the target agent (the one which I installed the client agent on). But whenever I click on it to 'choose the destination' (or basically, expand it) - it just hangs. Eventually it comes back (120 seconds later) with a 'browse operation timed out'. I turned on 'debug' level tracing, and managed to get a call stack out of it, as well as the generic error: (the first, generic timeout error): --Erroring: id[3439_1234421027821] message[com.avepoint.docave.sp.service.ServiceException: Back end error:Failed to process the browse request, the browse process timed out.] The second error, more detailed: Method execution failed: com.avepoint.docave.sp.service.ServiceException: Back end error:Failed to process the browse request, the browse process timed out. at com.avepoint.docave.sp.service.impl.SPNodeServiceImpl.getNodesByType(SPN odeServiceImpl.java:451) at com.avepoint.docave.sp.service.impl.SPNodeServiceImpl.getNodes(SPNodeSer viceImpl.java:329) at com.avepoint.docave.sp.dwr.SPRestorePlanDwr.get2007ItemLevelNodes(SPRest orePlanDwr.java:169) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at org.directwebremoting.impl.ExecuteAjaxFilter.doFilter(ExecuteAjaxFilter. java:34) at org.directwebremoting.impl.DefaultRemoter$1.doFilter(DefaultRemoter.java :316) at org.directwebremoting.impl.DefaultRemoter.execute(DefaultRemoter.java:31 9) at org.directwebremoting.impl.DefaultRemoter.execute(DefaultRemoter.java:17 8) at org.directwebremoting.servlet.UrlProcessor.handle(UrlProcessor.java:130) at org.directwebremoting.servlet.DwrServlet.doPost(DwrServlet.java:191) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:713) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:806) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter(Applica tionFilterChain.java:290) at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter(ApplicationFilt erChain.java:206) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve.invoke(StandardWrapperValv ejava:230) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContextValve.invoke(StandardContextValv ejava:175) at org.apache.geronimo.tomcat.valve.DefaultSubjectValve.invoke(DefaultSubje ctValve.java:56) at org.apache.geronimo.tomcat.GeronimoStandardContext$SystemMethodValve.inv oke(GeronimoStandardContext.java:353) at org.apache.geronimo.tomcat.valve.GeronimoBeforeAfterValve.invoke(Geronim oBeforeAfterValve.java:47) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHostValve.invoke(StandardHostValve.java :128) at org.apache.catalina.valves.ErrorReportValve.invoke(ErrorReportValve.java :104) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardEngineValve.invoke(StandardEngineValve. java:109) at org.apache.catalina.valves.AccessLogValve.invoke(AccessLogValve.java:563 ) at org.apache.catalina.connector.CoyoteAdapter.service(CoyoteAdapter.java:2 61) at org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Processor.process(Http11Processor.java:84 4) at org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Protocol$Http11ConnectionHandler.process( Http11Protocol.java:581) at org.apache.tomcat.util.net.JIoEndpoint$Worker.run(JIoEndpoint.java:447) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) It's written in Java - can you believe that?
