The regional options does not changed anything. I tried your second suggestion and now no meter what i choose the My Site site is in Hebrew.
The description in the language selection page is: *The language you select will be the language displayed for content creation and site management. This includes document libraries and lists on the site, but not your public page view* Is it saying anything to someone? ???
