Thanks for the tips mate, will give that a try and see. No idea why they're working for us - we didn't do anything special haha (Currently only visible on teamsites, as we've hidden the whole control via css on the portal itself)

Consider yourself lucky that your My SharePoint sites links are populating at all! J If that menu group has an ID then you can hide it with CSS or JavaScript. If it doesn't then you mays till be able to target it via scripting. Or you can disable the My Links entirely for particular groups by unchecking "Use Personal Features" under Personalization Services Permissions in your SSP.
