The 'push down' will update the order from the parent content type... I would personally call this a bug due to it being very very annoying !!

I have a custom content type that inherits from another. The only difference between them is that I want to change some required fields to optional. So I simply add my column refs and change required to False. But the column order has now changed - the modified columns have been added last, even though they inherit! Am I required to detail ALL field references for this child content type - again - in the order already specified by the parent? Regs, Paul
