No unfortunately if I attempt to do anything calculated on the multiline column I get the following error:

Of course this depends on any dependancies on the old "multiple lines of text" field, such as customisations that use the old field, this sort of thing can get messy. So much pain to go through just to allow sorting on that field. Sezai.
