Looks nice. The colour scheme seemed initially business-like, or something I'd expect to see for a stock trading program perhaps. Nothing wrong with it, just stating my thoughts of that "first 10 seconds" perception.
Also menus that completely dissapear like that can be hard to find. I was looking for some button or such to make them come back. If you want to keep the dissapearing behaviour I'd give a button or area that can be used as an anchor. Something the user can see to interact with to get the menus back. Having them dissapear was confusing until I figured out where to mouse to get them back. Also am glad I'm living now rather than then. Longer life expectancy is always a good thing!
