I can say that my team has tested this tool as well as the migration tool from codeplex with not a whole lot of luck. There are some groups that I think have been able to get these tools to work but usually there are some workarounds due to some environment dependencies or database dependencies. Finding what the workarounds are could be potentially time consuming. A reliable way to cherry pick projects for migration is something I have found is needed.
Grant has said there is a tool they are working on which will be great to see. Hopefully this can address some of the issues. Is it an option to copy the whole databases and destroy the other three projects? (If you do this, don't forget to change the server guid using TfsInstanceInfo.exe.
